Our senators have gone mad again. I heard one of the squirrels in the Nigerian Senate had passed a bill to jail social media critics. I heard he is Senator Bala Na’Allah, a man who does not even know how to wear suits. Can you now see that some of your senators are unintelligent folks? In all the problems that we have in Nigeria, should they tackle social media now? These tormented sicknators don’t want their secrets to be exposed to the world, that is why they want to limit our freedom of expression on social media. It will never happen.
They can limit others but they can’t limit me. Their forefathers are not paying my salary. None of them has ever paid for my internet subscription. These educated idiots should go and check their constitution: they will find freedom of expression therein. Did they say two years imprisonment? Or a fine of two million naira? God will punish any senator that imprisons any Nigerian because they speak about the evil things that is happening in the country. A society that has no critics can never develop.
What do you take Nigerians for? Do you think we are donkeys that you can continue to ride? Are we indebted to your grandfathers? Didn’t some of you get angry when the issue of N18,000 minimum wage was raised? We know some of you don’t love Nigerians. We just decided to be quiet, so that peace would reign. The Nigerian Senate should be very careful, so that they don’t invite war from Nigerians. And to Senator Bala who spearheaded the bill, I am very disappointed in you, sir. I’m so much disappointed in you because you are angry that Nigerians pointed out the error in your dressing on social media.
I thought you people were fighting for wardrobe allowance the other time? If Nigerians are paying your wardrobe allowance, do they not have the right to tell you to dress smartly? How can you continue to dress like this after collecting wardrobe allowance? It means you are just wasting our money. This is just unfair. You need to grow up and learn. If I were you, I wouldn’t be angry. I will simply thank Nigerians and start dressing smartly. Most Nigerian graduates are jobless, but they can never dress like this, even in their joblessness and brokenness. I just want to tell you that the bill will never bear good fruits. It will crumble before it rises in the name of all the gods in the universe. Do you know something? You are the one that should be jailed for improper dressing as a senator. You have portrayed Nigeria as a bad nation by your dressing. You are complaining now because you have been exposed on social media.
Have you forgotten that it is this power of social media that brought some of you into power? Even Buhari who is your president cannot deny how much social media has helped him during the campaign. We have sharpened your teeth. And now, you want to bite us with the same teeth? Eledua koni fun yin se. B’ogo ban je t’Olohun Oba, imo yin yo d’ofo lori oro yi. Eti n gungi re koja ewe. Efe f’oju oloore gun ‘gi abi? Kosi wahala. B’ikun loloko ni, bi takute ni, a o maa woo!
