The Marvel Cinematic Universe added its fourteenth film, Doctor Strange, and it was released internationally this past Friday to really positive reviews (check out our review here). Leading the weekend with an estimated $84.9 million, the Disney Marvel movie beat Fox and Dreamworks Animation’s Trolls and Lionsgate’s Hacksaw Ridge to claim the number one spot on the international box office. Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson, who also wrote the film with Jon Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton. Doctor Strange is showing in theaters now.
