Empire’s Taraji P. Henson will go back to her roots as Detective Joss Carter when she joins Person of Interest as a guest star on the April 14 episode, EW has confirmed.
Henson started on the CBS drama in 2011. In the show’s third season, Carter was killed during an investigation into a corrupt cop organization HR.
On next Tuesday’s episode, Henson’s character will appear in flashbacks when Reese (Jim Caviezel) attempts to close a cold homicide case that Carter was never able to solve. Reese left the team briefly in the wake of Carter’s death, so this case might be a particularly emotional one for him.
