Director Bryan Singer took to Instagram to announce that Lana Condors, a complete unknown, has been cast as Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse. In previous films we’ve seen background characters that could have been Jubilee. Singer’s announcement could mean we actually get to see Jubilee use her powers and maybe even become a core member of the X-Men team. All my knowledge of Jubilee is from the 90s animated X-Men series in which she was a clumsy whiny teenager. The movie is shooting in April so casting news has pretty much wound down on Apocalypse.
X-Men: Apocalypse will open in theaters May 27th, 2016 (USA).
