The African Movie Academy Awards went down on September 26th 2015 and was held in South Africa. All the stars came out, looking their best in stunning and bright outfits. Celebrities like Juliet Ibrahim graced the event with such an amazing dress that she set social media on fire. Getting down to brass tacks, awards were handed out to some of the best and hardworking people and projects in Africa.
Amongst the winners was a movie one of our very own, Olukayode Abobadoye, CEO of CriticsArena, is involved in, an animated movie called ‘The Legacy of Rubies’. The movie went home with the best animated movie of the year. The Legacy of Rubies is a 2D short animated movie directed and written by Ebele Okoye and features the voices of Deboh Brown, Andreas Weber, Obele Acheleke, Olukayode Abobadoye and Ebele Okoye. The film is a production of Shrinkfish and Ebele Okoye with the support of The Focus Features Africa First Short Film Programme. The world premiere was held at the Zanzibar International Film Festival on the 21st July, 2015. Now check out the full list of winners below:
